Apply Courses to Degree Program

Undergraduate students may apply the credits earned in the NYPD Leadership Program to any of the majors listed below:

**Students with an Associates Degree may be eligible for the new Online Bachelor of Science in Security Management Degree program.  The online program is only available for new students enrolling for the Fall 2017 semester or thereafter **

Graduate students admitted into a master's program, may apply up to 12 credits earned in the Leadership Program to a graduate program.  Please note, not all graduate programs award credits earned from the NYPD Leadership Program.  Students may consult with the graduate program director or advisor on additional how your credits will transfer to a master's program at John Jay.  

The following programs accept credits earned in the NYPD Leadership Program:

  • Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (Up to 12 credits)
  • Master of Arts in Criminal Justice (NYPD Executive Program for Captains and Above) (Up to 9 credits)
  • Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology (Up to 6 credits)
  • Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling (Up to 6 credits)
  • Master of Arts in International Crime and Justice (Up to 3 credits)
  • Master of Public Administration (Pubic Policy and Administration) (Up to 12 credits)
  • Master of Public Administration (Inspection and Oversight) (Up to 12 credits)
  • Master of Science in Emergency Management (Up to 9 credits)
  • Master of Science in Protection Management (Up to 9 credits)
  • Master of Science in Security Management (Up to 9 credits)
